We would be delighted to welcome you as a new member of the Choir! It’s really simple to join: just come along to rehearsals for a few weeks and then attend a short audition. An ability to read music is not essential, but previous singing experience is an advantage. We are looking for enthusiasm, and commitment to regular attendance at rehearsals and concerts.
We meet to rehearse on Tuesday evenings between September and May, from 8-9.45pm at Wilmslow Methodist Church, Kings Court, 37 Water Lane, Wilmslow SK9 5AR. If you are interested in joining us, please contact the Choir Secretary on 0161 485 1659, or email us by completing the form below.
Full members currently pay a subscription of £145 per year. This covers the costs incurred in hiring the venues for rehearsals and concerts, paying for the regular services of our conductor and accompanist, hiring music scores, and paying for our concert soloists and orchestra. It also covers the costs of publicity and advertising, plus website design and maintenance. We believe it represents very good value for money, given that with all the rehearsals and concerts, we are offering you about 35 great nights out per year! Free membership is offered to students. Reduced fees are available for the under-25s, and for people who wish to sing with us for just part of the season. Fees are normally due at the start of the season.
