Spring Concert – 80th Anniversary Season
Our 22 March performance of Handel’s Messiah as orchestrated by Mozart was received with tremendous enthusiasm by a full house at Wilmslow URC, and we received many appreciative comments afterwards:
“Glorious! So optimistic. Made me really feel well and positive. And the trumpet player was fabulous!”
“Brilliant. I could have been sitting in the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden!”
“I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed rehearsals and the concert last night. Visitors remarked on how Lloyd has developed our sound.”
“We sat in the balcony, and from there the sound was big, rich and full. The final Amen was my absolute favourite.”
Thanks to our wonderful orchestra Musica Nova, to our continuo player Mackenzie, our soloists Anna-Clare Monk, Rhiain Taylor, Cameron Mitchell and Matthew Nuttall, and to all those who came out to support us!
